Introducing a new weekly show focused on Upstate High School Athletics!
Show topics include all things related to High School Athletics in Upstate SC, with a heavy emphasis on SC High School Football, the best football in these United States!
An outstanding lineup of guests will be featured including current and former high school coaches, broadcasters, fans, current ROAR hosts, and many surprises along the way. Calls and texts from listeners will also be a big part of the Hitch & Pitch experience.
Show promotion will be featured through Michael Vaughan Promotions, LLC (@MVP3SC on social media) including the High School Sports Platform “GUSTO” that began in 2019. Gusto (short for Great UpState Teams Online) tracks almost 70 high school athletic departments in the Upstate and beyond and will be the social media home of the Hitch & Pitch Report. Gusto is found on FB, IG & X at @GoGustoSC.
The initial show run is scheduled for Monday nights, 7:00-8:00pm, starting on August 26, 2024 and running through December 9, 2024 with the State Championship wrap up show.
More about Mike Vaughan, Host:
Mike’s love of High School Sports began even before his own high school years, following teams across the Upstate as they faced his hometown Eagles of Greenwood, SC. Later, he covered HS athletics as a sports reporter, analyst, and play by play announcer for several Midlands SC radio stations and sports shows. More recently, Mike and his wife Tara returned to the Upstate in 2020 and shortly after, Mike began serving as Producer for The Mickey Plyler Show as well as supporting production needs for the entire Roar On-Air Team. He can also be heard in Stadiums across the Upstate as he serves as the Public Address Voice for high school, college, and professional teams including the Greenville Triumph, Clemson University, Greenville Drive and many more.
