Join Faxon Childress and John Hight from 9am-12pm every weekday on The ROAR with new show, “Fax On Sports”. Faxon brings the heat daily with energy, passion, and in-depth knowledge of the sports world from Clemson Athletics to professional sports. John is a ROAR veteran who excels at breaking down the X’s & O’s in the football world. His intricate knowledge of the College and NFL game makes this tandem a must-listen. We hope you’re ready for the fire, because Faxon & John bring the energy every day for 3 straight hours.

Faxon Childress

Faxon Childress brings a new and energetic view on the sports world to The ROAR as the host of “Fax On Sports.”  Faxon got his start in sports broadcasting just 4 years ago, co-hosting “Beyond 22” with Terrence Oglesby and “4th & 16” with Ellis Tolbert. He’s quickly ascended the broadcasting ladder, accumulating over 300 games of PxP broadcasting experience across the Clemson Athletic Network, ACCN, and ESPN+ all while an undergrad student at Clemson University.

A recent Clemson graduate, Faxon is in his 2nd year serving as the play-by-play voice for the Tri-County Technical College High School Football Game of the Week.

Faxon is a Suwanee, GA native who was born and raised a Clemson fan.

John Hight

John began his career at The ROAR as an intern for the Clemson Tigers Network, working with Zack Orr in production. He spent two and half years as the producer of The Mickey Plyler Show. John was a part of The Press Box in 2022-24 and now Fax on Sports! 

John also handles our day-to-day production needs at the station and is the man behind the scenes of many Clemson Tigers Network broadcasts. John is a proud Clemson graduate.
