On National Signing Day on Wednesday, November 8, Clemson Women’s Basketball signed two athletes to the squad, including five-star prospect Imari Berry. Berry is the highest-rated recruit in program history.

Berry is the No. 13 ranked player in the 2024 class, according to ESPN HoopGurlz. The 5-foot-10 guard from Clarksville, Tennessee, helped her team to a 27-5 record in 2022 and scored 836 points. She averaged 26.1 points per game, seven rebounds per game, and scored 115 3-pointers. Berry is a two-time Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association Class 4A Miss Basketball finalist. Earlier this year, she was named a MaxPreps Third Team All-American, an honor influenced heavily by individual production.

Head Coach Amanda Butler and assistant coach Joy Smith worked hard to recruit Berry to Clemson, highlighting opportunities for Berry to write history and join the Clemson Family.

“It felt like family,” Berry said about Clemson in August. This family atmosphere made Berry’s decision to become a Tiger easy. Berry chose Clemson over offers from over 30 schools, including traditional women’s basketball powerhouses UConn, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Berry is expected to become Clarksville High School’s all-time leading scorer this season. She will come to campus with another 2024 signee: forward Morgan Miller. Tiger fans anticipate both players will make an immediate impact when they arrive on campus next year.
